I think you make a new folder, and put objects you plan to observe in there. Watch planets orbit the Sun, or stars orbit each other. You can orbit nearly all of the stars in our galaxy, and all the Solar System objects too.

You can adjust the view to suit your telescope, eg upside-down and/or back-to-front. You can go back and forward in time up to one million years and see how much the sky has changed. As far as I know, there is no ocular view, but I've never looked so I wouldn't know. It gives coordinates for every single one of these objects too.

The best Android alternative is Sky Map, which is both free and Open Source.If that doesnt suit you, our users have ranked more than 50 alternatives to Stellarium and many of them are available for Android so hopefully you can find a suitable replacement. There is also a wealth of info on most if these, with pictures too. Stellarium is not available for Android but there are plenty of alternatives with similar functionality.
